Speaking of... a little bit of a side note... we just found out Alex got a FULL RIDE SCHOLARSHIP to UNLV with ROTC! We are SO very proud of him and excited to see him exceed at both school and the Army. Way to go Alex. The perfect way to head into graduation Friday and the summer!
For our 2 year anniversary, Dan and I celebrated both on Sunday and Monday. We're usually more awake on Sundays so we decided to have dinner at PF Changs that night and exchange gifts. Dinner was fantastic! We shared spring rolls and each got a plate of the Broccoli and Beef. Delicious!

Before dinner even got started though, we exchanged gifts. This year is the cotton year for traditional wedding gifts, so we had to put a little thought into it. I opened my gift first. He got me the cutest pink and white striped pajamas from Victoria's Secret... 100% cotton, comfortable and did I mention cute? Then, he reached across the table to grab his gift and open it. His gift ended up being 35% cotton, 65% polyester...

I couldn't resist since I've said from day 1 that I married a Drama King! :-) It's an apron that my dad helped me design and print. Dan says he really likes it and is looking forward to wearing it while he cooks/grills. He was a good sport!
Then, on Monday after work and our nap we went on a walk around the park near our house and followed that up with dinner at Pepperjax, a hometown favorite! After that we hit the grocery store, watched most of Last Comic Standing and then watched some of our wedding video. It was really sweet to see all of our family again and relive our ceremony, especially our vows. It's a nice reminder that sometimes can get lost in our daily, busy lives. It felt nice to spend 2 days renewing our connection.
So, this week is a pretty busy one for us too. DJ leaves for Vegas Wednesday, Dan follows on Thursday and then Alex graduates on Friday morning! I have a bunch of stuff keeping me busy while their gone, like dinner with the book club ladies, a hair appointment, a tour of the new hospital where we'll be delivering and a remote. Plus, I will be running our show all by myself on Friday morning. A lotta bit nerve racking, but I will be practicing the next two days just to make sure I know what buttons to push when. It really is harder than it looks. At least I'll be running a "best of's" show, so I will have very little actual work to do other than the forecast and traffic. Whew, I will be glad when 9 a.m. comes on Friday morning.
Happy Tuesday.
