We made good time to downtown, found parking and made it into the show just in time. It was GREAT... we both just loved it. I just love all the Broadway musicals that have come through Omaha and am glad I've been able to go see them. We made it to the car about 4 1/2 minutes before the skies opened up with some of the heaviest rain I've ever seen in my life... thank goodness we left when we did! It ended up being a late night, but well worth it.The next day my dad flew in. He too loves the nursery and was happy to get to see it in person. After getting all caught up and relaxing a bit, we decided it would be a good night to go out to dinner, which landed us at Kona Grill. Delicious! It's one of my new favorite places. From there we took my folks to Scheels, just because it's a must see. Then, we ended up over at Costco doing some shopping and picking up a few more things we needed and some baby clothes. They have great deals on baby sleepers, which we needed a few more of. After that we headed home and enjoyed each others' company on our patio until just before the sun went down. It had been so wet here, it's nice to finally be able to sit outside and enjoy some very nice weather... just about perfect!
Thursday we had been hoping to catch an ASU game, but since they were over and done in two it changed our plans. I had a doctor appointment that afternoon and then we followed that up with a tour of the brand new hospital, which was spectacular. I cannot believe how innovative and pretty the hospital is. I'm so glad it's open in time for our delivery! Then, it was another delicious dinner at home, this time pot roast with vegetables and potatoes. We again followed that up with an evening spent on the patio.
It's been such a wonderful visit with even more planned for today and the weekend. More to come...
