Welcome To the 30s

No, it's not that cold, I'm that old. I had a wonderful birthday celebration on Monday, thank you for those who called and sent cards/gifts, it helped make for a wonderful day. In fact, we started celebrating Sunday night when Dan and DJ baked me a cake and sang me happy birthday, that was a wonderful surprise! Here's me opening the gifts my folks sent -- on top of the few items of clothing I picked out.

They got me the 2nd book in the Twilight series and Christmas stocking hangers for our fireplace that spell out PEACE.

I also got these beautiful flowers and a balloon from Lauren.

And, Lauren and Kari surprised me that night with a call that they'd gone in and bought me a massage for my birthday -- gratuity included and everything! I'm SO looking forward to that! What a wonderful surprise!

Then, that evening Dan cooked me a special birthday dinner of bacon wrapped Sirloin and broccoli salad. We spent a nice, quiet evening on the sofa with Maddie catching up on some TV shows and turning our brains off! The perfect 30th Birthday!

And, I wanted to share with you this picture of us at our Grand Prize Event Saturday with our Christmas banner -- since we are now THE Christmas Station!

Also, we are wishing you a very happy Thanksgiving. We are all so very thankful for the wonderful family we have and will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers as we celebrate. Dan is making the turkey and fixings and I'm making the deviled eggs. We're hoping to eat by noon or 1 o'clock since we have a Holiday Lights Festival we're emceeing in downtown that evening starting at 4. It's supposed to be a spectacular event with thousands of people downtown. Hopefully it will be enjoyable. Then Friday morning we're doing our show live from the mall... SO COOL! More to come...
