Becca and Alex arrived in one piece on the 4th of July. Dan had the day off work, so he was able to pick them up shortly after their arrival. (he took a little detour, a little too far south). But, he found them, returned to Madison and we had a wonderful day! Dan grilled out some brats and I whipped up some corn on the cob, baked beans and some potato salad. Mmmm! We ate like kings! Then that night we played a little Taboo and a little Catch Phrase! It was boys against girls. The boys cleaned our clocks at Taboo, but us girls redeemed ourselves in Catch Phrase, taking 2 out of 2! It was a great night!The weekend's been a bit more mellow. Yesterday evening Dan and I went to a friend's wedding at the gardens on the UW campus. It was a beautiful day and ceremony! It's fun to go to a wedding and be back on the guest side of things! Then today, we got in some exercise while the kids went to the park to play. We've just been lazy after that. Dan made us a yummy salad for lunch, they watched Evan Almighty, (while I slept on the sofa) and now Dan's making us some chicken fajitas!
We're hoping to fit a lot in while the kids are here, from baseball games to the pool and scrap booking for Becca and I! Between the two of us, I'm sure we'll have many, many pictures to post! And, I must add, Snowball is also enjoying having the kids here. She's found a new home on the air matress with Becca.
But, we sure do miss DJ. He's back in Las Vegas hanging for the summer and trying out for the freshman football team! (And probably really enjoying having the whole house to himself... at least for now)! We can't wait to hear how well he does, we know he's going to rock it!
