Busy, busy, B-U-S-Y!

You probably have figured that out from the lack of posts on MC... so I wanted to write a quick update. Things are good, just busy. As you saw from our previous post, we are podcasting! But, instead of posting on MC all the time, we're going to direct you to www.104star.com. If you click on our bio page, you can listen to the most recent podcasts, all of which are under 4 minutes. Needless to say we're having a blast.

Last weekend was a wash. We ended up back in Madison, with DJ at the last minute thanks to a nasty looking infection on his foot, which is now heeling. We left at 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning and started working our second to last wedding a little before noon. That lasted an hour longer than we wanted, but we finished up and crashed hard! Then, bright and early Sunday, we met Jess and her hubbie for a bagel and then made the trek back across Iowa. We. were. tired. Went to bad a little after 6 and still were groggy for the show Monday. But, Tuesday we were back on track and we're having a blast meeting people and doin' our thing.

DJ's been doing GREAT at school, band and football. Unfortunately he had to miss his second scrimmage because of his foot, but that's just about healed and he should be back at practice today. Last night I picked him up from practice and he'd been issued his jersey! He was so excited! Dan and I will both be rooting for #5 this season! Also exciting, Dan and I got a lawn mower. Sad -- something like that would have NEVER excited me 5 years ago. Anyhow, we bought it from a woman who was selling it on Craig's list and it works! Dan mowed the lawn last night, which required him to empty the bag 7 times and then we all spent some time chatting with our neighbors. They are VERY nice! In fact, we're going to do dinner with them this Sunday evening... should be fun. We had to do it Sunday because we have 2 remotes Friday, DJ has a game and we are emceeing an event on Saturday.

Busy, busy we are. We're very much looking forward to our first official weekend off, even though we have a few things going. We're hopefully going to get all of the contents of the remaining boxes put away, things organized and do some relaxing too.

The Snowball is loving her new home. She has found at least a dozen different spots to lay. I think she's the cutest when she's sprawled out across one of the carpeted steps leading up to the bedroom or on the wood floors in the kitchen. OK, I just think she's cute everywhere!

Once the house is organized and we can breath, I will post pictures, if not videos on the website of our new home and neighborhood. We just love everything so much and the people here are SO STINKIN' NICE!! We just can't get over it.
