Finally... I got to enjoy my first weekend off as a working woman! Woo Hoo!! It was Fantastic! Sleeping in Saturday morning was incredible! I got up at quarter til' 9, Dan, at almost 11. We got a lot put away and a lot sorted during the day. DJ had to get up earlier than us, he had football pictures at 7 a.m., followed by a march for band at 9:45. Needless to say, it was a nice and productive day for all of us! Dan and I had a remote at the Village Pointe mall near our house. We emceed their final Vibes of Summer concert, meaning we did some announcements and then introduced the band. They also reserved the, "Best Seats in the House" for us so we too could enjoy the outdoor concert.

We met the band ahead of time and they gave us these hats to wear. They didn't really go with our outfits, but we were good sports and wore them anyway.

At half time, as Dan called it, we read some more announcements, did some give aways and then reintroduced the band. It was an enjoyable evening followed by dinner at Cheeseburger in Paradise! We each got $75 gift cards to use at the mall for emceeing, so we had a nice, FREE dinner!
Today has been very chill too. We slept in until almost 9 and went to church. We tried a newer church by our house, Calvary Chapel, they hold church at Millard North High School. Dan and DJ had been before, but had not heard the senior pastor before. So, he was there today, a former Miami Dolphins player. It was an interesting service... needless to say... we're still looking for a church. It certainly does not compare to Black Hawk, where we went in Madison, but we're looking. After that we hit Costco to buy some food for our bar-b-q tonight and pick up some groceries. Then, Dan and I headed to Bed Bath and Beyond (Dan's favoritest store), and got some much needed things for the house. Next, it was back home to put stuff away and hang pictures! DJ helped us out immensely. Between the three of us we placed them on the walls, leveled them and hung them! It's amazing how much that little act can make your house feel more like a home. Now that it's 95% there, minus the 3 boxes that still need unpacking, we can finally post some pictures!
Here's the front of the house! Dan mowed last Tuesday, but our lawn growing like crazy considering all of the rain we've had!
Here's' what it looks like when you walk in the front door...

And now a few more shots of the kitchen area... it's very open and spacious, which we LOVE! (And our new kitchen table my folks got us a house warming gift).

And, we have a built in desk area off the kitchen where DJ does his homework and I get the bills settled.

Next is our living room. It overlooks the kitchen. There are about 5 steps to go down to get to the living room, which is also very spacious.
We even have a fire place!

Then down about 9 steps into the basement is our washer and dryer, the cats area and DJ's room...
His room is normally much cleaner, but he's gone from 7-7 most days, so we'll cut him some slack. Between school, band and football, they keep him pretty busy and out of trouble. When you walk in the front door... if you turn immediately to the left... there's a stairwell that lead you up to our three bedrooms.
One is our bedroom...
It's kind of small, but fits everything we have and has a walk in closet! And, I should mention a double vanity... which is VERY nice! We have two other bedrooms, but they're still be put together, so I didn't take pictures. One is our office and the other is about to become our spare bedroom. So, that's the tour of house! We absolutely love it. Our evening has also been pleasant! DJ had 2 friends over, Nick and Morgan, and we cooked up some tri-tip, mashed potatoes and enjoyed a nice dinner. They then headed to the park to hang out and then Dan and I enjoyed a glass of wine out back. The weather right now is unbeatable, so we're trying to enjoy every last minute of it until it turns COLD!
