Hello May!

We've welcomed in May with a jam-packed weekend! Friday was Kelly and Bryon's rehearsal dinner at their house, just down the street. We had a wonderful time meeting their families and were glad we ran through the walking parts twice before the big day.

Then, Saturday was pretty mellow for us. I got up early with Jackson, well at 8 a.m., and we played and played and played! He was in such a good mood and we had such a good time together. He was smiling and laughing and just the cutest thing ever! He's got a new trick... he's learned how to high 5! It's the cutest thing ever! www.youtube.com/radiodjdan

Our baby sitter arrived a little before 5. We left for the vineyard shortly thereafter they were married, by Dan, at 7 p.m.! It ended up being a gorgeous day. Only a few clouds in the sky, in the 60s and slightly windy, but not too bad. The bride looked gorgeous and everything went off without a hitch! Dan got lots of compliments on the ceremony he wrote for them and Bryon and Kelly's vows were so sweet I teared up.

After that we mixed, mingled, took some pictures and had a great night. We left a little after 10 to come home and relieve our babysitter and get to bed for the March for Babies, which was this morning at 10 a.m., although Dan and I had to be out there at 8 a.m. We took Jackson with us. He got VERY sleepy, but overall was a trooper. We ended up carrying him on the walk and also taking the short cut. We finally got to meet Jill and her son Nicholas, she's a listener of ours who had a baby around the same time I did, so that was fun to see the boys side by side. Adorable! We had a really nice time and the weather continued to be great.

Now we're relaxing (Jackson's sleeping) before Dan and DJ head out tonight to see the Youth Orchestra perform with the Omaha Symphony. This is the final major concert for the youth orchestra DJ will be auditioning for on the 9th. And speaking of DJ... we just got his ACT scores back and he got a 25! He did excellent! We are so proud of him and he's now more than qualified to be accepted to UNL. Needless to say, he's very happy about that and so are we!

That's all from us...

The Arthurs
