Such a Slacker...

I know, I know, it's been a WHILE! My computer's been acting up at home, making it hard to upload pictures, and therefore blog. But, to catch you up, we've been VERY busy, as if that's not a given.

DJ just finished school and finals yesterday at noon. He's very happy about that. He also had two band concerts last week -- one for his concert band and for his orchestra band. For the latter he dressed up in a tuxedo, so of course I had to snap a picture in front of our tree.

He looks so handsome -- I think he's going to be a heart breaker. We also got his final trip itinerary for the Rose Parade at his band concert, which he's super stoked for! We had to drop off his packed suitcase already -- so it's just getting him and a carry on to the airport on the Monday after Christmas.

Becca arrived in Omaha late on the 17th. Hooray! Her first night in town, I took her to my ice skating remote where she strapped on some skates and had a good time! She's a natural.

Becca's met and fallen in love with Maddie, reconnected with DJ and has spent one day at work with us so far. The kids have been keeping busy playing guitar hero, sledding (a much better experience in Omaha than Madison), watching TV and Christmas movies and we even took our first trip to Omaha's zoo, which was FANTASTIC!

It was even more incredible than we thought it would be and we heard it was great! We hit three of the biggies... the indoor jungle (that really felt tropical compared to the 29 degrees outside),

the aquarium with penguins

and sharks and the desert dome... all of which were fantastic!

In the jungle there was even a lower level path through the exhibits. SO COOL!

Maddie's been going to doggie training and doing very well. The first day with other dogs was rough... she was barking and growling something fierce... but we seemed to get her more under control and listening to us about half way through. I hope it helps her with her confidence and social skills. She's such a sweety, we just love having her. And she loves the snow!

Dan and I have been keeping busy at work doing paid and a few free remotes and several paid appearances. We've been having a great response switching to the Christmas Station and have been having some fun with topics and our new found listeners... hopefully some stick around and most come back. Now until spring is our down time... so we're excited about that! Ahhh, a breathe.

More to come on Becca's first visit to Omaha and our Christmas extravaganza.

Hope you had a blessed Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

The Arthurs
