Last weekend on our morning show, I scheduled 4 middle school students (6th graders) to come on our show and talk about the inventions they (and as you'll see their parents) came up with and built! It was such a fun segment talking to the kids and listening to them describe their inventions and the reasoning behind them!
That's Sam and his dad. They invented the exercise - ice cream maker! SO COOL! You pedal the bike, and that is rigged up to a drill bit that turns the ice cream maker, which makes home made ice cream! GENIUS! Burn calories riding the bike and then not only are you toning your muscles, you then get a sweet treat to eat! Needless to say, Sam won 1st place at the school's invention night that was held a few weeks ago! Our other little inventors made a gift wrap organizer that hangs on the back of a door and a lid for a trash can that catches metal forks so they don't get thrown away. Pretty cool little inventions and great kids.
Here's a shot of me, my new co-host Chris and all the little inventors! It was a really fun segment... viewers for life! :-)
