It is just plain, flat COLD here in the Southern part of Wisconsin. I'm not talking 15 degrees, or 5 degrees, I'm talking wind chills at 26 BELOW zero! Omigosh... it is SO stinkin' COLD! (as Dan would say). We finally turned on the heat, but now temperatures are warming back up to freezing! YAY! Oh ya, that's a warm up! :-)
Dan's been real busy in the US Cellular Rapid Traffic Center! With so much ice and snow and sleet, fog and rain there's an accident every couple of miles. Sheesh! You'd think these Wisconsinites would learn by now to SLOW down! Speaking of jobs, I just found out there are changes ahead for my weekend morning show. My good friend and co-host Brock is moving to weekend evenings and the weekend evening guy, Chris, is moving to my show. Hopefully it will continue to be just as fun, I'll just miss working with Brock, it's all I've known in Madison...
So, other than shivering, we've been doing a whole lot of wedding planning! I know shocker... after that big, long trip to Medford, there's more! We've picked out invitations, are almost done planning our honeymoon, are working on a song list for the DJ and the list goes on, and on, and on! We're hoping to spend some time in Napa Valley and then spend a little more than a week in Florida, sunning on the beach! We'll keep you posted!
We've also started our "OK, no joke, we're getting married in 4 months, time to work out 5 times a week and eat well... diet!" It's been going really well! I've been Dan's weight lifting trainer and he's my cardio help! He says I'm a big MEANIE when it comes to weight lifting, but I'm just trying to get us into shape! We're also starting to build back up with our running since we want to run a half marathon in May! Between all that and being more concious of what we're putting into our bodies (Super Bowl Sunday excluded) we should look fantastic in June for our wedding and our honeymoon!
Speaking of Super Bowl Sunday, we're having a bunch of friends over for a Super Bowl party! Our first big party since we moved to Fitchburg! I think there will be about 10 of us in our tiny, little apartment, but with burgers, brats, beer and munchies, it should be plenty of fun! It's too bad we're not rooting on Green Bay, but hey, the commercials are AWESOME and hopefully the game won't be a complete blowout!
Let's see, other than that we're just enjoying some down time together. The holidays and my Medford trip were so hectic, we're just trying to enjoy being together and staying warm!
Hope all is well!
