Woah... the weekend has just FLOWN by. What happened? And why is it the work week's never fly by like this? Friday night Dan and I had a remote together... which was some fun and very easy money. We got home about 9, watched some Friday Night Lights and got a good night's sleep. Saturday we had a blast hanging with Jackson. Here's one of his new favorite toys... Goldie, his pillow puppy.
In the afternoon we ran some errands with Jackson during the day and enjoyed the afternoon strolling around the outdoor mall by our house. That evening we got all cowboyed up to go to see Gary Allen at Stir Cove. Our sitter came at 5:30 and Dan and I headed to dinner at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse first. Kelly had got us a gift card there for our anniversary so we thought it was the perfect night to use it. I had prime rib and Dan had a Porterhouse. Delicious food! Highly recommend. From there we headed into Iowa to catch the show. (Right across the river where all the flooding is happening). We got there about an hour before the show started and it was PERFECT weather!

Gary took the stage about 9 o'clock and started with his hits... no dilly dallying... which we appreciated! After we'd heard almost all of our faves, we decided to head out early to beat the rush. We made a quick stop at our neighborhood fire pit and then arrived home at 11:30 to relieve our sitter.
Today's been a nice, relaxing day. We Skyped with Mimi to wish her a happy 75th birthday and so she could see our little monkey grandson in action. He has a slight fever, so we gave him some medicine and put him down for a nap. Since he's not feeling well, we watched our church service on TV and are kicking back now. Not too many plans for the day, just enjoying family time.
With Love,
The Arthurs
