Jackson's Stats

Well, we had his 9 month check up a few days early and our little guy is doing great! He's in about the 70-80th percentile for everything and really shot up in height. Dr. Mike says he's growing at a good rate and is very healthy! He weighed in at 22.12 lbs. and is now 29" long! He's developmentally right on track. Dr. Mike said in the next three months we should look for him to pull up, sit up and do some cruising. Oh boy, life is going to change quickly I think! He's already doing really well standing while holding on for support and can support himself for about 3-4 seconds. It's amazing to see. He's just a happy, talkie kid and we love him so much! Unfortunately he also has a slight wheeze back... we heart daycare... so it's back to the Nebulizer tonight. Boo, hiss. But, he'll feel better.

It's a lazy Saturday for us. Church tonight at 5 p.m. so we can sleep in tomorrow and have another lazy day while celebrating Easter with a steak dinner. Not traditional, but it beats the heck out of making a big dinner and ham for the 3 of us big people food eaters.

DJ's Orchestra teacher has recommended him for the Youth Symphony Orchestra! That's a big deal because they've already held auditions, but the woman I spoke with will set up a private audition for him! If he makes it, he will be learning what it's like to be in the orchestra and will also be in three big performances during the course of the school year. They practice every Sunday from August through May. He's super excited about it and will be auditioning sometime in the next three weeks! We're so proud of him. We also got his flight booked to head to Vegas this summer to spend time with his mom, Becca and Alex. He'll be on the same flight as us as we head to San Diego, but we'll go our separate ways in Denver. He's super excited to see them and will be spending about 6 weeks there. Becca's competing in a basketball league, so she isn't able to come visit us until the first of August. But, we're happy to get to have her for the full month. She's in Oregon right now visiting her Mimi. They're having a really good time and have even got to Skype with Dan and DJ on Thursday night when I had my book club.

Speaking of... book club was a ton of fun! I love our big kitchen table, it fit all 11 of very well so we could all mingle and interact, instead of doing it in small groups, which normally happens. There was good food, I baked a cake and lots of wine. In fact, we didn't even start talking about the book, "Heaven is for Real" until about 9:45, which meant everyone didn't leave until 10:30! It was our latest book club yet, but a ton of fun. I feel so blessed to have found such a wonderful group of women to get together with once a month. Our next book is "Water for Elephants." I've heard that's a great book... and then after our next meeting, the following weekend... we're all going to watch the movie together!

Works going well for us. We're anxious to get the winter book back... which could be any day. We shot our first round of TV segments which start airing on Monday, even though they're pushing back the launch of our new formatted morning show. We're glad they're going ahead with our segments as planned. It's been a lot of work. We'll shoot every Wednesday at 2 p.m., and are all squared away for next week. Dan did wonderfully, he's such a pro! In a few weeks, once we get smooth and our mini set all taken care of, we'll be sure to post the video links!

Well, that's all for now.
