It's nice to finally have a noticeable bump, but still weird to see people's eyes gravitate toward my belly. Wonder if I'll ever get used to that!? Also, I'm going to start posting our weekly baby update of how he/she is growing and developing. No wonder I'm always hungry! My next doctor appointment is the 23rd! We're excited to get to hear the heartbeat again, apparently we get to do that every time.
Here is the official 15 week update.
Your growing baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces, about the size of an apple. She's busy moving amniotic fluid through her nose and upper respiratory tract, which helps the primitive sacs in her lungs begin to develop. Her legs are growing longer than her arms now and she can move all of her joints and limbs. Although her eyelids are still fused shut, she can sense light. If you shine a flashlight on your tummy, for instance, she's likely to move away from the beam. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but she's forming taste buds. Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby is a boy or a girl.
We will be finding out on April 1st what we're having -- can't wait! We're both getting more and more anxious to find out! Plus, once we know, we'll be able to focus on names for that gender.
Let's see, what else? We had a great Teacher of the Week on Tuesday. She was very sweet and so honored to be nominated and selected! She also had the class make us a really neat sign welcoming us to the classroom. It was a special thing and one of the very best parts of our week.

We're getting ready to sell our TV (while it still works) and buy a new one! That's very exciting. Also, we're getting ready for Travis and Lauren to come into town for a visit on Saturday afternoon through Monday night. We already have a few plans in place and are very excited for their visit -- our first out of town guests who aren't family! (But are like family).
DJ is doing very well. He's still 'taken' and is doing well in school. We registered him for his 11th grade classes last night and then took him to church where he's rehearsing with the choir. He took the initiative on his own, emailed them, and went down to join. He's now one of 3 trumpet players in the group who plays for the 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. services. So, you know what that means. Dad gets to drop him at church at 7:00 a.m. and we're no longer attending the 11 a.m. service, but the 9:30 a.m. Dan's super excited for DJ to get his driver licence now!
Well, that's all the news that's fit to print for now. More to come I'm sure.
