Needless to say I'm rubbing off on one or both of them and I was very happy and surprised to see this! They had a great time and came home all smiles. They said there were some hard hits, but not enough to satisfy them. While they were gone I chatted the evening away on the phone and enjoyed a nice, quiet evening. They're going again this coming Saturday too... spoiled!
The next day I had a very long day. After I worked the morning show my photographer and I headed to New Glarus to complete my sweeps shoots, 7 in all. I can't remember if I mentioned, but we're doing a series on "backyard adventures on a budget." I'm really enjoying myself and can't wait to share a lot of these wonderful discoveries with my folks when they come to town.
The stories are airing all week long, Mon-Sun on the Morning Show and Weekend Live, feel free to check them out if you've got some spare time. Click on the link and search in the video player for a "Wisconsin Adventure."

I got home about 4:30 p.m. after starting work at 5:15 a.m., napped and then Dan and I went back downtown to see Jason Mraz. The show started at 7:30, to which we arrived about 20 minutes before that. He had 2 openers, both of whom we enjoyed, but Jason Mraz didn't take the stage until almost 9:30. Even with a nap, Dan and I were beat by 10, to we headed home. They were free tickets, so we really didn't feel too bad. The only thing I was sad about was missing the 2 songs he does, that I enjoy. But, I'm over it! I only discovered his music a few weeks ago. He was great in concert, did some free-flow type stuff, I'd go see him again... for free.
Today Dan and I both worked. We napped and now are working on completing or getting very close to completing the Ander wedding we shot on the 18th. I can't believe how quickly we've been going. Our next wedding is already this Sunday. Whew! No rest for the weary.
