The trip Saturday was GREAT! We went to the salon and tried everything on, from the dress to the jewelry to the shoes and veil and giggled! Carly kept saying "I can't believe you're getting married in 3 weeks!" Then we'd jump up and down and hug and giggle more! After that, Carly learned how to get me in and out of my dress, how to bustle it and got to see me glow! It was a fun experience! After Vera's we went to Flat Top Grill for a yummy Mongolian bar-b-q style lunch with lots of veggies! Then we headed to Macy's and Carly got a MAC makeover! She looked absolutely gorgeous! I'd been telling her how great MAC is for years, and now she knows why! From there we headed to the Outlet Mall halfway between here and Milwaukee,... and shopped until we just about dropped! She got some cute things for her 2 kids, we each got our better halves sale shoes!! We got some yummies at Harry and David and looked in just about every other store, including the Ann Taylor outlet! Once we got back into town, we went to the little Italian Cafe by our house for a nice, quiet dinner! Then, it was to bed early so Carly and I could get up and go to work! She loved coming to the studio... she'd never seen me do the broadcast before... so it was a great experience for both of us! We also got a workout in and LOTS of bridal stuff done! And of course some good eating...
This is Ryan, Carly, me and Dan at a yummy brunch at the Great Dane! We met Dan and Ryan after work Sunday... and after they ran almost 8 miles in downtown! We had shrimp and prime rib and omelets and got our money's worth! Then it was all work for Carly and I! She designed Dan and my wedding program, so we printed those out at Kinkos and headed to Walmart to put together a "bridal EMERGENCY kit." I hope I don't have to use any of it... but now I've got it! Thanks to Carly for helping me find useful things to put in it! We also put in quite a bit of effort on a now finished seating chart!
And... we made shirts!!
Now we're watching the ACM's and lovin' it! Carly doesn't get to listen to much country now that she live in New Jersey... so every song is NEW to her! Weird! We really enjoyed Sugarland's performance thus far and the duet by Kenny and George!
Tomorrow she heads home... back to her hubby and babies and Dan and I are back to our crazy routine and our final dance lesson! Then it's packin' bags and off to AZ at the end of the week! Hello poolside!
More to come...
