Christmas Part II

Wow, the last few days have FLOWN by! We've all been having a ball! Alex, DJ and Becca got into Madison safe and sound a little earlier than expected, but their early bird dad was there and waiting! That night they opened stockings, but saved the gifts under the tree for the next day, our Christmas morning!

Look, Becca got a kitty!! Ok, just kidding.

After a good night's sleep we were up Thursday morning and eating another Dan-tastic breakfast by 830 am and opening presents by 9! What fun! Among other things, Alex got a guitar for Guitar Hero.

DJ got a pair of snow boots and John Madden 08' among other things!

And Becca got a new sweater her dad picked out himself and several other gifts!

A great morning complete with ANOTHER picture and a big mess!

After all the gifts were open, we had to try a few of them out on the big sreen. We plugged in Guitar Hero and rocked out to "I Love Rock and Roll." Well, ok, everyone else rocked out, I got boo-ed. Then we got dressed in several layers of clothing, put on our snow boots and headed to the park down the street to play in nearly a foot of snow! What fun and a GREAT work out! We had snowball fights, played snow football and then capture the flag! Brrrr. Once we got back home we had some hot cocoa and warmed up! Then, Dan and I prepared our first Christmas dinner together. We're now 2 for 2 with holiday meals! We decided on a prime rib dinner. Along with the meat, prepared just about perfectly to medium rare, we also had deviled eggs, mashed potatoes and a salad! Mmmmm! After dinner we played some of the new board games the kids got for Christmas, both Clue and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader. Come to find out, more often than not, we are! :-) I mean really, do you know how many black keys are on a piano?
