The Media Couple In Action!

So, Dan and I did our first event as "radio guy" and "TV gal." We were asked to judge chicken wings and thought that would be a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon together.

Dan volunteered his time, I and I got paid to mingle, drink beer and OH YA, eat chicken wings! We tasted SO MANY chicken wings we stopped eating the whole thing! We judged 3 categories, Traditional Wings, Wing Sauce and Uniqueness. (We'd never had basil on our chicken wings but decided it wasn't too bad)!

We met lots of listeners and viewers. In fact, Dan made the comment, "Wow honey, and I thought radio had unique listeners!" Ha. I met this woman who spit more than she talked and it kept landing on me! Ewwww! But hey, she's a big fan and up early on Saturday mornings! We made some new fans and friends too.

Once the votes were tabulated, Dan and I took to the mics to announce the wing winners! That was a blast! It was our first time on the mic together and we decided, unanimously, we rocked it!! (Dan's a natural. Duh, he's in radio and he worked in Vegas)! It was comfortable, fun and we're looking forward to doing more events together!

We met some great people (as mentioned earlier) and joined them for a final brewsky at the local hang out, The Hooterville Inn. Don't know that we'll make it back to Blue Mounds, but if we do, we'll certainly be welcomed back. :-)
